• Мишель Майор (Michel Mayor - University of Geneva, Geneva, Switzerland) и
• Дидье Кело (Didier Queloz - University of Geneva, Geneva, Switzerland, University of Cambridge, Cambridge, United Kingdom).

Они удостоены награды за исследования в области астрономии. Нобелевская премия по физике 2019 года была присуждена «за вклад в наше понимание эволюции Вселенной и места Земли в космосе», причем одна половина принадлежит Джеймсу Пиблзу «за теоретические открытия в физической космологии», а другая половина - Мишелю Майору и Дидье Келоз "за открытие экзопланеты, вращающейся вокруг звезды солнечного типа".
